Tame birds

Our range of tame birds include turkey, goose, duck, cockerel, corn-fed chicken and grill chicken which are all free range breed. They are fed a carefully composed and tried-out vegetable fodder free from antibiotics and indiscriminate treatment against parasites with so called coccidiostatica. The slaughter takes place with tried and true methods under rigorous control. With optimal standards for hygiene this ensures a high quality final product. All products are cooled using a cold air blast method which gives a heightened taste sensation and minimises the content of bacteria and thus gives a longer expiration date. Naturally all animals are tested for salmonella in accordance with Swedish law.

In addition to whole birds we also sell cut parts such as breast and leg which are very popular with our customers.

The carcass weight for turkey is 5-8 kilos depending on whether it is cock or hen, goose 5 kilos, duck 2,8 kilos, cockerel 3 kilos, corn-fed chicken 1,8 kilos and grill chicken 1 kilo.

In our Swedish cookbooks you will find an amazing variety of recipes for fowl. Traditionally fowl is one of our most popular dishes for special holidays such as Christmas or Easter. We have however noted a rising interest for fowl also for the ordinary weekend supper.
